Banner Student Security Overview

This webpage gives general info on Banner Student security and can be used to aid in the decision-making process of determining what a person’s most appropriate security should be. Banner Student Security access is granted with the expectation that it will be used on a regular basis because it is a normal part of an employee’s duties.  However, situations exist where access is assigned in order to provide a back-up for key departmental tasks and is not used on a regular basis.

The types of security covered are –a) Banner Student security classes and b) Fine grain access

With auditors tracking our security reviews we need to enforce our deadlines to maintain an in-compliance status for East Carolina University. If the Office of the Registrar does not receive a response by the deadline, then all applicable Banner Student Security will be revoked.  If an area has extenuating circumstances, then please contact us and we can discuss further.
