Chapter 31 – Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Book Information

Book Ordering Procedures

Your VR&E counselor will submit a book authorization directly to the campus Barnes & Noble bookstore account. If your counselor does not know the Barnes & Noble bookstore account, they can contact the campus certifying official, Josh Dail. Your VR&E counselor will then need to provide you with the PO number for that authorization.

Ordering Books & Supplies Online

Visit: ecu.bncollege.com. Place the items that you have been approved for by your counselor into the shopping cart & at the checkout screen there will be a VA and Voc Rehab payment tile that you will be able to select. You will enter your name as it appears on the authorization form and the PO number in the Student ID field.

If you have selected items that are not covered or exceed the authorized limits, you will need to add another form of payment, which you can select below where you enter your authorization information.

Picking up Books & Supplies in person in the Dowdy Student Store

Once you have all your required items, you can proceed to the cashier as you normally world. Let them know that you are a VA chapter 31 – VR&E student and supply them with your PO number as well as a form of ID.

Keep in mind, without a PO number, you’ll be unable to obtain your books, so make sure you know that number and how many semesters that PO number is valid. All that information can be obtained from your VR&E counselor.
