The University Catalogs

The University Catalogs

The university’s academic catalogs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a contractual agreement between a student and East Carolina University. The university reserves the right to make changes in curricula, degree requirements, course offerings, or academic regulations at any time when, in the judgment of the faculty, the chancellor, or the Board of Trustees, such changes are in the best interest of the students and the university.

Which catalog year should you use?

A degree-seeking student enters ECU under the catalog in effect at the time of his or her official enrollment. This means that a student entering ECU in the fall of 2023, spring of 2024, or summer of 2024 would follow degree requirements listed in the catalog for the 2023-2024 academic year. A student can choose to graduate under a catalog published after his/her enrollment date.
