The university’s academic catalogs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a contractual agreement between a student and East Carolina University. The university reserves the right to make changes in curricula, degree requirements, course offerings, or academic regulations at any time when, in the judgment of the faculty, the chancellor, or the Board of Trustees, such changes are in the best interest of the students and the university.
Which catalog year should you use?
A degree-seeking student enters ECU under the catalog in effect at the time of their official enrollment. This means that a student entering ECU in the fall of 2024, spring of 2025, or summer of 2025 would follow degree requirements listed in the catalog for the 2024-2025 academic year. A student can choose to graduate under a catalog published after their enrollment date.
