AAS Transfer Plans
Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees completed at a North Carolina Community College are not necessarily designed to transfer to four-year institutions. However, ECU believes every NCCCS student should have the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Many of our majors already have Bi-lateral agreements with specific community colleges or other AAS transfer pathways offering smoother transfer to ECU. You can explore those below.
For programs without bi-lateral agreements or pathways, we’ve put together some example plans.
AAS degrees are not uniform from college to college; therefore, these plans may not align exactly with your current program of study at your community college but can show you how close you are to a bachelor’s degree with ECU.
Example AAS Transfer Plans
- Accounting & Finance, AAS to Accounting, BSBA
- Human Services Technology, AAS to Social Work, BSW
- Interior Design, AAS to Interior Design, BS *
- Paralegal Technology, AAS to Political Science, BS
*Interior Design, AAS students may also pursue the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
