Sending Official Transcripts
To complete your admissions application and have credit evaluated, all applicants should submit official college transcripts to ECU. An official transcript is one submitted to ECU through your previous institution. Transcripts sent in by students are considered unofficial.
Additionally, it is important to send your documents to the correct office/mailing address to avoid delays in receipt and processing.
How do I send an official transcript?
Official transcripts are sent directly from your previous institution to ECU, either electronically or through postal mail. At most colleges, the registrar’s office is responsible for sending official transcripts.
Each institution may use a different service for fulfilling transcript orders or have a different preferred method of sending transcripts (electronically or postal mail).
Below is information that may help you order your official transcript from another institution, as well as a list of the exact places to send transcripts to at ECU.

Requesting ACE Transcripts
If you took a course through an alternative college credit source such as Coursera, edX, Outlier, StraighterLine, Sophia, Study.com, Udemy, or UniversityNow, ECU requires an official ACE transcript to accompany your transcript from those entities.
We do not guarantee transfer credit from any unaccredited institution, nor do we guarantee transfer credit from these learning platforms. Each ECU department will consider credit based on the submission of an ACE transcript. To order an ACE transcript along with your transcript fromĀ one of these sites, please visit https://www.acenet.edu/Programs-Services/Pages/Credit-Transcripts/Request-Transcripts.aspx for directions on how to login to Credly and order an ACE transcript.
